  7.     1.    A DOSNIX user reported the following problem:  When 
  8.         LS and FFIND were used with extremely large DOS partitions 
  9.         (greater than 32mb) the amount of free space reported was 
  10.         wrong.  This was due to overflow when converting from 
  11.         clusters  to bytes.  Because my own system is not large 
  12.         enough to detect this problem I can only take an educated
  13.         guess that the fix will work.

  19.     1.    When LS and FFIND were used without ANSI.SYS being  
  20.         installed, there were some problems with highlighting.
  21.         EDC had a problem of this nature  when displaying the 
  22.         directory tree. These problems have now been fixed.

  24.     2.    Both versions of READ now use direct screen writes for
  25.         faster pages.  CGA cards are automatically detected and
  26.         horizontal retrace checking is performed to avoid snow.

  28.     3.    READ can now handle text modes other than 80 X 25 and
  29.         will configure itself to the mode in use, including 132
  30.         column modes.  LS, EDC, FFIND and CLR have also been
  31.         modified to work properly in extended text modes.

  38.     1.    When using EDC, if the -t option was combined with the 
  39.         -s option, the path file would be removed but a new one would 
  40.         not be generated.  EDC would then have to scan the drives
  41.         the next time it was used.  The problem has now been fixed.

  49.     1.    EDC now uses just one path file for all hard disk
  50.         partitions, stored in the root directory of drive C.
  51.         This change improves the way the backspace key works
  52.         during speed searches, and should allow EDC to run 
  53.         faster  on large systems with many logical drives.  You 
  54.         can still access drives explicitly but the speed advantage 
  55.         won't be that great.   Floppy drives still have a separate 
  56.         path file for each floppy, and you will have to scan each 
  57.         floppy  disk to install the path file.

  59.     2.    When a directory was created, removed or renamed
  60.         on a drive locked out with EDNOSCAN, EDC would still 
  61.         try to access the path file.  This problem has now been
  62.         fixed.

  64.     3.    LS has been upgraded to work  with the new version of EDC. 
  65.         You should not try to use  an older version of LS with this 
  66.         version of EDC.

  75.     1.    READ will now allow you to pull in a new file without
  76.         leaving the program.  Pressing F4 will display the current
  77.         directory.  You can then use the arrow keys to select a
  78.         new file or a new directory.  You can start the program in
  79.         this mode by using a directory as an argument.  F2 and F3
  80.         can now be used to start and continue string searches.

  82.     2.    EDC has been completely reworked and can change to any
  83.         directory on any hard drive without using a drive spec.
  84.         EDC will automatically  scan your drives the first time it 
  85.         is run.  Unwanted drives can be locked out by setting the
  86.         environment variable EDNOSCAN to the letters of the drives
  87.         you want to ignore.  When displaying the directory tree,
  88.         EDC will now give you an opportunity to choose a directory
  89.         at the end of each page.  A new menu for matching directories
  90.         has been installed in both EDC and LS.

  93.     3.    FFIND can now locate files either by date or number of
  94.         days back.
